Michael Berg, Executive Director
Raised in Kentucky since age 4, Michael has served as the Executive Director of Assisted Living Communities that span across the Commonwealth. He has been with Magnolia Springs Lexington, literally, since the ground up, starting in 2015 when it was still under construction. Michael holds dual degrees from the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics and is a nationally Certified Director of Assisted Living (CDAL). In 2012, he was elected by his peers to the Kentucky Senior Living Association (KSLA) Board of Directors and currently serves as Treasurer. Michael Celebrates LIFE through serving at his church, family meals, mountain biking, and hiking.
Lois Justice, Director of Resident Services
Having lived in several states, Lois has called Kentucky her home for the last 8 years. She has over 25 years of experience in health care with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Indiana University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas. Her experience has been in the hospital setting, home care, and in senior living. Lois celebrates LIFE by spending time with her husband and two teenagers, hiking and camping and serving in the church where her husband pastors.
Valerie Keating, Director of Memory Way
Born and raised in Ohio, Valerie found her love for the Bluegrass State while attending The University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University. Her professional career started out in education, serving students with learning and behavioral disorders. After completing her coursework for a Masters in Counseling and Psychotherapy, Valerie transitioned to senior care because of her heart for serving resident’s and their families. Valerie has held numerous roles in senior care, but is particularly passionate about creating an engaging atmosphere for those with memory loss. Valerie celebrates LIFE by making memories with her husband and son, playing around with photography, and enjoying meals with family and friends.
Tanya Priddy, Director of Culinary Services
Born and raised in Kentucky, Tanya found her passion for cooking at an early age and pursued her Food and Hospitality degree from Sullivan University. Tanya has had the privilege to work in her field with some of Kentucky’s finest chef’s, that have helped nurture her culinary path. Tanya is extremely passionate about the food and restaurant industry and believes that dining should be a relaxed, fun, and enjoyable experience. Tanya celebrates LIFE by being active in her church, spending time with family and friends, and trying new dining experiences throughout Kentucky.
James Collins, Director of Life Enrichment
Born and raised in northern Kentucky, James started working part-time with Magnolia Springs in 2013 in the Life Enrichment department before becoming the Director of Life Enrichment in Lexington. James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Morehead State University and a Masters of Divinity degree from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. James celebrates every second of LIFE through serving senior residents, spending time with his lovely wife and two daughters, and running marathons and ultramarathons.
Amanda Neat, Assistant Director of Life Enrichment
Born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, Amanda has been a part of the Magnolia Springs family of communities since 2013. She first served three and half years at East Louisville as a Resident Assistant. In 2016, Amanda joined the Lexington Team as the Assistant Director of Life Enrichment. Amanda has an Associate Degree in Arts and is a Certified Nursing Assistant. Amanda celebrates LIFE by spending time with her husband and daughter. She loves running, dancing, and time with her family and pets.
Chris Haney, Director of Plant Operations
Chris grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan and later moved to Kentucky where he has lived for over thirty years. Chris has over twenty years experience in building maintenance including ten years as a facility manager in a large church and a senior living community. Through his time at church, he found the working environment of being with seniors to be both rewarding and enjoyable. Chris celebrates LIFE by spending time with his family at home and during family camping trips.
Madison Shirley, Business Office Manager
Madison was born in Virginia but has called the Bluegrass her home since the age of five. A WKU graduate with a degree in healthcare administration, Madison’s passion for serving seniors began with her involvement in Senior Smiles and continued through her membership in Companions of Respected Elders. Madison celebrates life by hiking at Red River Gorge, bringing Pinterest crafts to life, and trying new restaurants with her friends.
Tiffany Sawaf, Director of Community Relations
Tiffany grew up in Kingsford Michigan in the Upper Peninsula and later moved to Kentucky where she has resided for the last nine years. Tiffany graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Business Marketing degree. She has over eleven years in the residential housing industry and has been a provider of housing for the greater Lexington area at many premiere properties. Tiffany celebrates LIFE by spending time with Chad, her daughter Aria, step-daughter Gabby, and step-son Tyler. She loves hiking, jogging, and spending time in her Georgetown community.
